Hello? Hello, happy freaking day. How's everyone doing? I am super stoked to be here with you guys. And I am recording from Tacoma, Washington. We're on our second travel contract, which has been super fun. If you are just joining us in you're like, what the heck are you talking about? Um, so my partner is a travel physical therapist, which is pretty similar to a travel nurse in that we take contracts for short amount of times, typically 13 weeks. We're on our second travel contract now, which has been super fun. And I'm actually really enjoying this place.
We don't [00:02:00] live narrate near very much, which has been fascinating for me as someone who is super extroverted and works from home all day. So I've really been using this time to focus on my health and what I truly want. It's required me to get quiet, to reflect, to ask why I've been doing certain things in the past. I've also been training with a personal trainer.
And if you follow me on Instagram, you'll see where I share a lot of that journey. It's been so fun to reconnect with my body, especially as someone who's been an athlete her entire life. So focusing on strength and movement and making sure my body is supported has been super awesome.
Few weeks ago, we hiked bam for my 28th birthday and it was incredible.
You guys. But there was something that happened that I wanted to share with you. We had a really frustrating experience with Airbnb. The place we stayed was [00:03:00] incredible, but there was a power outage in the town. There was no wifi, no cell service, no running water and no hot water. And we have been traveling all morning and I am someone that's super sensitive to traveling.
Um, flying makes me exhausted and we had to get up at like 3:00 AM. Um, And I needed my sleep. I was not my best self. Um, and we were trying to get support from Airbnb, but we kept getting cut off. We finally decided to just make the best of the situation and guess what. The power came on, we got the shower and the Airbnb was on credible, but this experience brought up an interesting conversation about choice. And I recently did a presentation on this for a group of entrepreneurs, and I wanted to share it with you and how we have way more choices than we've ever been taught to believe. And when we recognize the power of choices, we [00:04:00] realize our ability to create the life we want. I want you to imagine a goal that you have and rate how close you are to that goal on a scale of one to 10. Many of us think. We need the perfect conditions to reach our goals. But we've overlooked one critical thing.
And that, that is the power of daily choice. We get so overwhelmed by focusing on grandiose decisions. And we begin to neglect the small daily choices that bring us closer and closer to our goal.
We have a choice of how we react in every situation. Every time you say yes to something you're saying no to something else. And this isn't about what's right or wrong. But really it's about making a conscious decision that aligns with your goals. For example, I just finished drinking my protein shake. And that moment I said yes to the protein shake [00:05:00] and no to water. It's a small choice that I made. But when you're able to make the smallest choices they're going to accumulate and bring us closer to our goals. Recognizing that every single thing that we do as a choice. Makes us aware of our ability to co-create our reality. 'cause you guys, we have way more control over outcomes and we think then you think. And when we recognize our ability to co-create the life that we want, man. The power. That we take back. And high achieving women, especially are often taught to grind and work hard, believing that being miserable, working 14 hour days. Feeling exhausted giving and giving to your family. It's the only way to be successful. But when, when we're able to recognize the power of choice, we're able to focus on small daily decisions.
We can create a life that [00:06:00] feels good and is in alignment with what we want, because when we break it down to those daily desires and asking. Does this align with the future that I want, we get our answers. But to start this journey, you need to become aware of your choices. Many of us go through life, making subconscious decisions without realizing it.
And by bringing awareness to these choices. We can start making decisions that align with the experience we want to have.
So looking at your, to do list. Reflect on where you've spent your energy. Are your daily decisions aligned with your goals and the life that you want to create? You have the power to choose and create a life that feels good. That is in alignment with your soul. And that you consciously want to live. Not just something that you've been told would make you [00:07:00] happy.
The other important thing not to miss here is that you need to know what you want. And I would even go further and say, you need to know why you want it. Because that is another indication. Of creating a life that is aligned with your soul. And you're able to make value based decisions, which is really the core thing that I teach people is making value based decisions that aren't rooted in our trauma and our sub our subconscious beliefs that are driving our behavior without us recognizing it. But rather making decisions. That say, Hey, this is in alignment with my highest self. But that takes you getting very, very, very honest with yourself and asking the harder questions, doing the hard work to say. Why do I want it? [00:08:00] What makes me happy. What drives. My energy. And there's lots of different ways to figure that out. And I have a fun. Exciting thing that I'm going to be able to teach you to do that in my upcoming master class that I'll tell you about here soon. But start asking. What you want, write it down. I'm talking pen to paper, write it down. There are so many things that are so many people that just utilize. You know, the, uh, laptop or phone or these like really, um, Immediate satisfaction things, but I want you to write it down, write it down.
What do you want?
And then you can just start by asking over the last week.
Does my life reflect someone that will have what she wants. Do those things align. And that's a [00:09:00] really good way. To get clear on how you're spending your time. And then you can go into those things that I said earlier about looking at your to-do list, looking at where your energy is spent. And be nice to yourself when you do this, this isn't to shame yourself, blame yourself, or say like, oh my God, I just suck.
No, this is just information. This is just information that we can use to make a better decision to move forward. You can't do better if you don't know better. And this is giving us the information to do better. And so I encourage you to be neutral in that, to just accept it for what it is. It doesn't mean anything about your morality. Because love you are learning.
You are listening to this podcast. You are. Doing the work. And I know because you are on this podcast, that means you do want a different life. You do want a life that [00:10:00] feels better. Right. So there's no sense in blaming yourself and shaming herself, right? Because that, that vibration is too heavy for you to carry look at anyone.
You know, that is like a self-blame addict that just consistently loves to just, well, it's just all my fault. It's all my fault. I'm just blaming myself. Right. That's a really low frequency to hold. And it will prevent you from making these changes from switching, how you spend your energy. So when you get this information, just be conscious of how you talk to yourself and. I even say it out loud.
This is just information. This is just information to help me make a better choice, better decision moving forward.
And then integrating it into those small daily decisions of what you eat, how you spend your time. In terms of like scrolling on Instagram versus watching a show with your partner, right? Like, Those things [00:11:00] will eventually become. Subconscious. And like, they're an automatic thing because you've done the work to align it, but for now you need to be asking those questions. And sometimes that takes setting up your day in a really structured way to make sure that the decisions are value based. Are aligning with your highest self. Because we want to set ourselves up for success.
We can't say, oh great. Now we know. So that means that, um, I can just have a free reign for all. I know I'll make value based decisions all day long. No, we need to set ourself up for success. We're human beings. And in grad school, one of the things that I studied was helped behavior theory and specifically getting people to change really hard things to change like addiction, like certain eating habits, right?
How do we set them up for success? And. There is. It's power into how you set up your day. So when you get this information of [00:12:00] how you're spending your time and your energy, I want you to use it to make sure that you you're setting your day up. In a way that supports your success. That's going to look different for everyone. Doesn't mean you have to get up at a certain time, cause your girl loves to sleep. But it does ask you. To just get curious and just say, what is that highest version of myself? Doing, how does she speak?
How does she show up? How does she eat? Because it matters everything. Impacts the other. Synergistic it's holistic. You're doing a freaking great job. And if you found this helpful, I do have a free masterclass coming up aligned abundance is for women who are ready to create a life that is so aligned with their soul. That everything they create feels good. The link to save your spot will be in the show notes. And I'm so freaking excited to announce my new beta program [00:13:00] for overwhelmed overachievers.

Um, I only have seven spots left, three have already sold out because people reach out and we're like, no, I, I know that I want this.
So get on the priority list. Make sure you don't miss out on those final spots.
Because guys, the power that we have in choices.
It is. Where freedom is because we take back the control. We become. More aware of the power that we have. Just like when I was in that situation, when we were in Canada, we have been traveling all day. We didn't have access to. Hot water. To a running water at the [00:14:00] very least, we had a choice. And the goal of our trip was to connect with each other. Was to spend time with each other. Was to be in nature. And so we said, how is our next choice of how we react to this? Which one is going to be more aligned with that goal of our trip. And so we chose to let it go. We chose to go to the Airbnb. Relax, read a book, hang out on the deck. Get some dinner. And just wait.
We had water with us. We were prepared.
And then a few hours later, the power came back on. But we had a choice in that moment of how we were going to react and it wasn't going to set up our energy for the rest of the evening. Potentially the trip. So we asked what was the purpose of coming on this trip, taking a step back. So then we could decide, do we want to spend the next [00:15:00] hour, hour and a half fighting with Airbnb?
We ultimately decided no, it's not worth it. We would rather protect our energy. And there wasn't necessarily, again, that wasn't to say that one way was better than the other. In the grand scheme of things, but for us, Choosing to step back, let it go. That was more in alignment. So just to recap, look at your to-do list and reflect where you spent your energy. Are your daily decisions aligning with what you want and if you don't know what you want, well, that's a great place to start.
And then I'd also ask why do you want it? You have the power to choose and create a life that feels good. That is in alignment and the, you consciously want to live.
