Happy 20, 25 guys. How are ya? I'm happy to be back with you. And today. I had an incredible call with a client. Who was talking about consistency. And how that's something that she was working on. And I was like, wow. Am I being coached by one of my clients and I was, it was something that I so desperately needed. To hear too about this podcast, about speaking, using my voice, using my platform.
So I'm back guys. I'm going to try to keep these episodes short. Um, so that I can commit to them. Um, if there's a specific topic that you're really wanting me to expand on, you can send me an [email protected] and I'll expand on it. But for now to help with my consistency, to help me stay true [00:03:00] to using this platform. They'll probably be a little bit shorter bite size nuggets, so you can take. And integrate into your life. Would that being said. I am so freaking stoked to announce M three. My mindset, manifestation and magic coaching membership, 47 bucks a month.
And this is committed to teaching you the scientific protocols supported with spiritual tools to help you integrate the hottest topics in healing and make them applicable to you. Our first topic is stress. We're going to jump into a stress awareness challenge. And that's what I want to spend some time on today. 2024 was field with a lot of stressors and change for me. And it really got me to the point where I was feeling disconnected from self, because I felt like I was constantly. Just trying to survive. And in one of my meetings with [00:04:00] someone that I work with in the research space. We were discussing how hard it was to move this initiative forward. And she said, why don't we come back? To our purpose.
Why are we here? We are here to save lives. We are here to teach people that there's possibility. To help them get past their worst days. And it was just simply anchoring in that purpose. Reminding myself, my team. Of the work that we're doing and its impact. That helped us keep going. When we felt like there was just consistently. Roadblocks coming up.
And that seems to be.
The pattern that a lot of people are experiencing right now. Like there are so many roadblocks and everyone's so stressed. But we've gotten to the point where stress is, what we're used to. And so we're not taking the time to [00:05:00] question or evaluate the stress. That we're under where it's stemming from. And then the biggest part, we're not taking the time to anchor in our purpose.
And you see it doesn't have to be something like, this is what I'm doing to save lives.
Right. It could be something like, this is what I'm doing to support my family. Or do you take care of my health in a better way? Or this is a platform that I'm super passionate about. Anchoring back to your why?
And so I want to expand on the idea of a purpose anchor. As something to combat stress. So I'll link one of the research articles that I was diving into today. And it was talking about protective mechanisms. So we all have things that protect us. We talk about them a lot as limiting beliefs, but in this scenario, we're talking about purpose. As something that mitigates the impact of stress in our life. And you see stress is not necessarily a bad thing. [00:06:00] So I want you to start to imagine stress. As something that propels you forward, and it's something that you can learn to handle. But it doesn't have to be something that runs your life like it does for so many of us.
And so there are three types of stress. That they propose. One is we have good stress. So think of it as in the middle, I'm holding my hands up and that good stress. Propels you forward to make an impact in the world to do what you need to do to get done. And also build your resilience. And then we have. A level of stress on the opposite end.
That's too much stress. Our stress tolerance. Our stress window is stress is put past capacity. That's for a lot of us. And we're not able to critically think through what we want to do. We're not able to, um, access to creativity, [00:07:00] parts of us, and we're just in survival mode and we're probably experiencing things like. Twitchy eyes, digestive issues consistently, uh, lethargic. Uh, lethargy, if I can speak. Um, maybe you're having like itchiness or you're irritable. And then on the other side of that is not enough stress. So, this is where we're avoiding anything that could potentially cause us stress.
And that actually impacts our ability to cope with things down the line. There's a lot of discussion about that in parenting and how kids need the stress. To help them develop coping skills and, you know, we can save that for another day. So.
Let's sum that up. That there's three types of stress. So let's start to identify where you're at.
Are you not having enough stress where you feel like you don't have the coping mechanisms to handle it?
Maybe you have the perfect amount of stress that saying, yep, this is pushing me forward. Maybe it's a deadline expectations, but they're [00:08:00] good expectations. It's good stress that says I'm in my purpose.
I'm doing what I need to do. And I'm taking the steps forward. And then on the other side, too much stress. We're not able to cope effectively because you've been pushed past your window of tolerance. And you're just reacting. You're in a very reactionary state for many of us. That's where we're at. So today's topic about anchoring and our purpose. Is just as simple as that. I want you to take the areas of your life that you're experiencing the most stress in. Writing them down, listing them out and really looking. At how that stress is presenting in your life.
Are you having the twitchy eyes?
Are you having trouble sleeping?
And then I want you to say. In this area of life, what is my purpose? Why am I doing this? And what is it going to benefit me? [00:09:00] You see my purpose as a partner, as a wife is very different than my purpose as a dog mom, or as a researcher or as a coach. So really defining your purpose there. And as we continue to anchor in that purpose, We might need some reminders. So maybe that means that you're putting that purpose on your desk, or maybe if it's, you're really struggling with your animal because of their reactivity and you need that purpose reminder, maybe it's above their food. Or where their medicine is. If it's for a parenting issue that you're having, and you're really anchoring in your purpose of breaking. Trauma cycles and teaching your kids a new way of existing. Maybe it's on your door as you leave your bedroom. But spending some time to re anchor in that purpose because you see research shows us. That that purpose then becomes a protective [00:10:00] mechanism that mitigates the effects of stress. And like we discussed stress is unavoidable in our life and the purpose isn't for us to avoid stress or limit it in its entirety. No. It's to be able to cope effectively. Respond to life. And then come back, knowing that we have the tools, the resources and the skills.
To be able to handle whatever comes our way. But for so many of us, when we think about, oh my God, what's going to come next. It's really rooted in anxiety. 'cause that's stress. I just consistently being triggered. We've spent our entire life getting inputs of stress. So it's activated the partner brain, the amygdala, which is responsible for that fight or flight response. The survival mechanisms. And so when we start to look at stress as something that we can use [00:11:00] to benefit our purpose,
And really look at purpose as something that's like an armor. To help us handle and combat it.
We begin to be able to make room, to get curious. About those stressors. Which is what we're going to spend some time doing inside of M three and the stress awareness challenge that I'm really excited to walk. All of you guys through. And if you haven't joined M three, there's a link in the show notes for you to join. This is intended to be accessible, affordable $47 a month. As the investment price and you're like, that's still not going to work for me.
Send me an email. I want to make sure that you have access to this. We're going to look at the scientific. Evidence.
Of how the brain responds to stress. Look at the wounding surrounding stress. Why do some [00:12:00] people respond to stress so differently? Why does something that stresses me out? Maybe not stress my partner out. Or vice versa. We're going to look at those things. We're going to begin to explore them so that stress doesn't become something that overwhelms you. But as something you begin to understand and have a formula. To combat it. So you can join. Through the link in our show notes. I'm so excited. Our live call kicks off. February 6th. And again, this is about giving you a formula for integrating the hottest topics in self-development and healing to help you understand. How to take it. Put it in your life and heal it. From the bottom up using both scientific and spiritually supported principles and tools. As we continue the membership, we're also going to be building out other workshops, uh, they're healing opportunities that you're going to get access to all for that monthly price. [00:13:00] Because again, this is about integration. Okay. So let's go back. And kind of full circle, wrap up the stress. So one let's begin to ask, where is my stress level? You can even say zero to 10, where are you at?
Do you feel like you are, maybe you're out of five, but you're saying that feels good.
It's pushing me forward. In this one particular area of your life. And then break it down. Through each area of life. Partnership job finances home. Things that really matter to you.
And begin looking at where your stress level is.
How it's presenting. So what are the physical manifestations of it? And then what your purpose is for each of those areas of your life.
So as we begin to [00:14:00] develop the awareness of how stress is presenting in our life and what our purpose is. We can start to see the signs popping up earlier. We can utilize coping mechanisms that we have, which I'll expand on inside of M three, but quickly things like meditation, breath work going on a walk, spending time with friends. Those are really good protective mechanism for stress. And we'll expand on those further inside of M three.
So you're looking at each part of your life where your stress levels are. The physical manifestations of the stress. What your purpose is? And then anchoring back into this coping mechanisms. When we take it further and start looking at the wounding that drives those stress responses. We begin to dig into the subconscious, getting those deeper layers, which will expand on another podcast.
But for now I want us to focus. On evaluating where our stress levels are on each part of our life. [00:15:00] How they're physically manifesting. Utilizing our coping skills, like I said, breath, work meditation. You can also hop on YouTube. There's some really accessible. Um, meditations and I also have my free burnout balance class.
Um, the has some meditations that you can use, you can hop on my website, rise to her.com and get access to those meditations. Now you can download them. And then anchor into your purpose. When we begin to evaluate our purpose, it brings us home. It's something to look at. And once our brain has really rooted in our purpose.
We can continue to come back to it time and time again.
And we see the stress affects mitigate. But take the time to define it first.
That's what I have for you guys today. I'm so excited to continue this. I cannot wait to see you jump inside of M three to join us for the stress awareness challenge. Our live call starts off February 6th. Um, if you're not available for the live call, they're all going to be recorded and pop into [00:16:00] the membership portal.
